The journey behind InVerse

I’m Eduardo Canelon, a father, coach, musician, and spiritual practitioner born in Caracas, Venezuela, and based in San Diego.

I moved to the United States at fifteen and speak both Spanish and English.

My life has been a search for experience and understanding: what moves us, how we connect, and how we can become more conscious of the way we live. That search has taken me around the world, into different spiritual traditions, onto stages, and into ceremonial spaces. It has also brought me back to the responsibilities closest to home: caring for my son, caring for myself, and finding meaningful ways to contribute.

InVerse grew from the meeting of those worlds.

A life in music

For over a decade, I worked as a professional touring and recording artist, earning awards and sharing music with audiences across different communities. Music gave me a life of creativity, travel, collaboration, and connection. It taught me to listen closely, trust my instincts, and respond to what was happening in the moment.

Over time, fatherhood changed how I wanted to spend my time and energy. I began moving away from the demands of nightlife and toward a life with more presence, consistency, and room to grow as a father and a person.

That transition asked me to reconsider what fulfillment meant to me. I wanted to put the sensitivity, creativity, and energy I had developed through music into work that reflected the life I was choosing.

Music remains part of who I am and how I connect with others.

A search across cultures

My search for spiritual teachings and direct experience has taken me through India, Mexico, Cuba, Turkey, Europe, the Amazon jungle, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and beyond.

Along the way, I encountered different ways of understanding consciousness, community, devotion, and our relationship with life. Those experiences expanded my perspective and deepened my desire to explore what these teachings could mean in practice.

In India, I trained as a Sivananda yoga teacher, studying the relationship between breath, body, and attention. An encounter with a teacher named Bhooma in the Himalayas in 2012 left a lasting impression on me. His presence and emphasis on grounding spiritual experience through consistent practice became lessons I would continue to return to.

My background also includes Reiki master training and initiation into Afro Cuban spiritual traditions. I received the Hand of Ifá in 2021, was crowned to Obatala in Cuba in 2022, and was initiated into Palo Mayombe.

These traditions continue to shape my relationship with devotion, responsibility, ritual, and community. They are living commitments within my own life.

Ceremony and integration

I am also Omo Añá, an initiated ceremonial drummer in the Santería tradition. Sacred drumming has deepened my understanding of service, attentive presence, and responsibility within a ceremonial community.

My path includes years of experience with ayahuasca and other plant medicine ceremonies, including serving as a ceremonial drummer and assistant in ayahuasca and San Pedro ceremonial work, which includes a private ceremony for Erykah Badu. These experiences deepened my exploration of emotion, perception, and connection, while teaching me about the care involved in supporting others through deeply personal experiences.

As my journey developed, integration became increasingly important to me. I wanted to understand how a profound experience could become a meaningful change in someone’s everyday life.

That question continues to guide the integration support I offer today: How do we bring what we discover into our relationships, our habits, and the choices we make?

Fatherhood, discipline, and the body

Fatherhood has been one of the most grounding forces in my life.

Raising my son continually asks me to become more dependable, patient, and aware of the example I set. It gives practical meaning to my values and brings me back to the connection between what I believe and what I consistently do.

Caring for my body has become another essential part of that commitment. My devotion to the gym and regular training gives me a place to practice discipline, patience, and follow through. It reminds me that growth requires repeated effort, attention, and respect for where I am today.

I value a strong, fit, healthy body because it supports my ability to participate fully in life. How I move, rest, and care for myself affects the energy I bring to my work, my relationships, and my family.

This is part of my philosophy of embodiment: allowing what I understand to take shape in the way I live.

Why I created InVerse

I created InVerse around a simple understanding: a better life begins from the inside out.

Getting to know yourself means becoming familiar with your thoughts, emotions, energy, preferences, fears, and compulsions. As you understand your inner experience, you begin to see more clearly how the world affects you and how you respond to it.

That awareness gives you room to question a familiar reaction, communicate something honestly, make a different choice, or follow through on what matters.

From the Center is the philosophy behind this work. InVerse is how I bring it into practice through coaching, workshops, and integration support.

My focus is on supporting men and couples in developing greater awareness, deeper connection, and a stronger sense of personal responsibility. I bring my background and lived experience into work that begins with the person in front of me and the life they are actually living.

Working with me

My approach is personal, direct, and curious. We explore what is happening in your life, how you experience it within yourself, and what you want to understand or change.

I welcome your beliefs, your questions, and your experience. Together, we make room for honest conversation, reflection, and practical steps that help you bring what you discover into daily life.

My intention is to help you gain a new perspective, strengthen your connection to yourself, and develop the personal power to live with greater clarity, care, and purpose.

Sessions are available in English and Spanish, online and in person.
